Optics vs Optometry
Screens are an important part of our lives. However, staring at a screen for a long time can impair vision. And even if your vision seems perfect, it is necessary from time to time to see a specialist (Optometrist) or an Ophthalmologist. "It's better to prevent than to cure…"
What is studied in Optometry?
Optometry is the non-medical health science that studies the visual system, its non-pathological alterations and their solution, as well as the visual health and hygiene standards in charge of the optometrist.
Thus we can consider the Optometrist as the primary eye care doctor and consequently as a link between the Optician and the Ophthalmologist.
We have interviewed several specialists with their multidisciplinary team and we recommend some of them in this section.
